Cardiovascular diseases or cardiovascular risk factors may predispose to cerebrovascular diseases and, consequently, cognitive decline, for sharing the same pathophysiology. The present study aimed to identify, describe and analyze scientific articles that correlate cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular risk factors with cognitive functioning.
